FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) - German luxury car maker BMW AG said Thursday it overcame tough auto markets in Europe to post a 9 percent increase in net profit in the second quarter. Profits rose to 1.39 billion euros ($1.85 billion) from 1.28 billion in the same quarter a year ago as revenue rose 1.8 percent to 19.5 billion euros.
