After a successful inaugural event last year, the focused Content & Apps for Automotive Conference, this June in Munich, will look at how to find value behind the content hype to create the perfect position for the car in the life of the connected consumer.
Munich, Germany (PRWEB) February 13, 2013
Content & Applications for Automotive Europe 2013, Conference & Exhibition (18-19 June, Munich, Germany) will provide key information and analysis and help the automotive industry to identify revenue opportunities for in-car apps, meet key app developers, understand the potential app business models and predict future in-car content trends and capabilities. The OEMs have spent the past 12 months launching their own content and app strategies. Influenced by enhanced smartphone and tablet capabilities many are introducing next-gen content and services through advanced platforms and cloud-based technology. Now, that the technology has entered the market, the industry has turned its focus to finding the value in this automotive content haze: Both for the developers and for the OEMs.
After last years’ event, General motors responded by saying “An excellent Conference! No Sales pitches. Non-stop intellectual debate on all important issues related to apps/content in the auto industry.” This year’s event will bring together the automakers, tier 1 suppliers, content and mobile leaders to discuss the latest OEM content strategies, business models for app stores, new advances to work more closely with the developer ecosystem (such as HTML5 ready platforms) and operating system trends amongst other topic.
The event is still being curated. Last years’ expert speakers included: Fiat, Ford, Volvo, Harman, Continental, Denso, QNX, Chleon, Telenor, GSMA, The Linux Foundation, Sony Ericsson, and many more.
Topics to be discussed:
· Hybridised Platforms and Operating Systems Achieve Interoperability
· Build Auto App Developer Communities
· Business Models for Automotive App stores
· The Opportunities of Web / Cloud based Apps and Platforms
