Talking Heads Multilingual Services participated at the Export Europe Event organized by UK Trade and Investment (UTKI) Yorkshire on March 6, 2013 at the Holiday Inn, Royal Victoria, Sheffield.
UKTI Commercial Officers based in 24 consulates and embassies across Europe were present at the event. Talking Heads put up a stand at the Export Europe Event to distribute hand-outs and offer linguistic and cultural advice to all such companies involved in the event.
After the grand success of the Export Europe event in 2012, the 2013 event followed on in the same vein. UTKI Yorkshire promised to bring in more overseas experts from European markets this year, and they duly delivered. The day-long event began at 9.30 am and closed at 4 pm. Six workshops were running throughout the day, each lasting for half an hour. These workshops were conducted by regional trade advisers with the aim to help participating companies expand their business to overseas markets. The topics for these workshops were "Top Tips for Successful Marketing Overseas", "How to Choose the Right International Market", "Overcoming the Perceived Barriers to Exporting", "How to Make the Most of Overseas Business Trips", "Understanding the Financial Benefits of Exporting" and "Understanding European Culture for Exporting."
Talking Heads is a UK-based company that offers a wide range of professional linguistic services, including interpretation, translation and cultural sensitivity courses from their offices in Sheffield and Leicester.
