Benidorm one of Europe's most popular tourist destinations will still represent exceptional value for money despite the crash in the value of the Euro in 2013 according to benidorm.co.uk the travel website.
As the UK lost its AAA rating this week, confidence fell with the pound being one of the casualties. With uncertainty in the Italian election and the loss of the UK's triple AAA rating leading to a drop in the value of the Euro against the pound according to BBC news, millions of UK tourists face an increase in the cost of holidays in 2013.
Joseph Smyth of the travel website Benidorm.co.uk said the company has been deluged with calls from worried holiday makers who are trying desperately to buy Euros in fear of a further rate drop.
"For many holidaymakers travelling to Europe this year, they face a genuine threat of having to find more spending money as experts fear that the Euro could be on parity with the pound'' Joseph added.
Where holidays makers received 1,935 Euros for £1,500 of spending money last year, experts predict they will get around 1,500 Euros this year.
''What Benidorm offers is such incredible value for money, holiday makers wont suffer as much as tourists heading off to other European destinations'' he said. ''In my last trip to meet with our hotel partners, I was absolutely stunned to see that for the price of just 75p, you could get a fantastic English breakfast. Also further down the street in one of the local bars I enjoyed two glasses of Pinot Grigio on a buy one get one free offer for only £1.75!'' he added. If that was not enough he then heard the compare introduce Showaddywaddy to the stage.
With award winning beaches and a collection of 5 star, 4 star and 3 star hotels, Benidorm is expected to see a surge in bookings as holiday makers opt for the value for money reputation that Benidorm consistently delivers. ''There is a reason why 2.5 millions Brits head to Benidorm each year and what they already know is that it is not like the TV programme and indeed it could not be further from it'' he continued. ''With golf resorts such as the Melia Villaitana and the beautiful 5 star luxury Asia Gardens, Benidorm.co.uk deals with a completely diverse social mix.
